Sustainability
Elevate Your Getaway, Empower Our World: Sustainable Luxury at Oak Creek

The Retreat
At Oak Creek Retreat, we believe that people are just one part of the amazing natural world in Central Arizona. We've worked hard to become the first vacation rental in the area to be certified as environmentally friendly, which means that when you stay with us, you're helping to protect the environment for the future.
We've added eco-friendly features all around our rental, like solar water heaters, electric vehicle chargers, and environmentally friendly cleaning supplies, with plans for even more sustainable upgrades in the future. You'll still have all the comfort and luxury you'd expect from a great vacation rental, plus you'll know that your stay is helping the planet.

Community
At Oak Creek Retreat, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond just being environmentally friendly – it's also about supporting our veteran community.
As a Marine Corps combat veteran who has personally faced the challenges of PTSD, I know how important it is to have support and resources available for those who have served our country. That's why we've made it our mission to give back to organizations that actively assist veterans and active-duty military members.
When you choose to stay with us at Oak Creek Retreat, you're not just enjoying a beautiful and eco-friendly vacation rental. You're directly contributing to our efforts to support those who have sacrificed so much for our nation. Your stay makes a difference.
Oak Creek Retreat is proud to support Big Sky Bravery. Through our partnership, we offer our returning Special Operations forces essential outdoor adventures. Your contributions, through your stay with us, honor their unseen sacrifices and aid in their journey of healing. Join us in making a meaningful impact on the lives of these true heroes.

The Verde River Watershed
Our neighbor, Oak Creek, is a vital component of the whole Verde River watershed. The watershed encompasses the Verde River – all 192 miles, from its headwaters in Chino Valley to the confluence with the Salt River – and the smaller tributaries like Oak Creek that feed into it.
The Verde River watershed has several notable elements, including:
- miles of lush riparian habitat
- 40.5 miles of federally designated Wild and Scenic River
- it is one of Arizona’s last free-flowing rivers
- Home to beaver, river otters, native fish, great blue heron, gray fox, bobcat, javelina, bald eagles, myriad native reptiles and amphibians, and many, many more
- it is a critical flyway for migratory birds
